The date wheel is divided into 31 equal sections and the dial, into 12 equal sections. Each date therefore equals 12 / 31 = 0.387 hours of separation. So, if you move down 2 dates from 3 o''clock position, the date will be at 3 + 2x0.387 = 3.77 (hour), and if you move down 3 dates, the date will be at 4.16 (hour).

You only need one movement...2824 or 2836. The stem will be centered in the case tube or it will not. The 2836 is a better choice if you need a date wheel overlay. It has consistently been +11s to +12s a day out of the box. I waited a month before taking it to a local "watchmaker" to have it regulated thinking that it would be no big deal.
